I was at the Calgary Zoo the other afternoon. The Zoo is quite spectacular, and reflects the multicultural nature of Canada! Birds and Animals from all-over-the-world - quite a spectacle!
There was a big buzz about the newest arrival to the Zoo - the 'Indian' Elephant, which seemed to be in a very happy frame of mind. I immediately struck a conversation with my fellow countryman.. or rather my.. whatever --
Anand (in fake Canadian Accent): How is life in Canada. Have you settled in. Do you have friends here? It is awesome here, eiah!
Indian Elephant (even faker Canadian Accent): I am glad I moved here. Healthcare is awesome, quality of life is great, lots of leisure time, and tons of money and appreciation. I am good friends with the other immigrants -- the African Gorilla, the Amazonian Monkey and have several other friends from India. My Gorilla friend recently became a Citizen, and is now planning to go take up a position at the San Diego Zoo (USA).
I have to admit that I am a little scared about the Calgary winter though!!
Anand (still with the fake accent): Good for you!.. And dont worry about the winter. It is only 3 months in a year.
Indian Elephant (Fake Accent): Thanks!.. Anyways, How is it going for you?
Anand (little bit of accent): Well, things were terrible in the first year. By God's grace, things are OK now. I managed to find myself a job in my own field.
I am still paying off some of my debt. I spent a lot of money in consultant fees.
Indian Elephant (Now with Indian accent): Well part of the reason why I am so happy is that I came direct....not through a consultant!.
Anand (Finally in Indian Accent): Well.. I wish I had half your wisdom, Indian Elephant!
(to be continued....)

Even I wish, I had half of your wisdom, dear elephant!
Dear elephant,
Keep positive attitude!! You will be settlled. Initially, everything is tough, its a struggle but you got to keep high spirits...........couple of years down the line, things still remain same but by that time YOU GET USED TO IT.....SO YOU WILL BE SETTLED!!
