Hi ,
I am canadain PR since 2012 . I am eligible to apply for Canadian citizenship now . In my pr card my name was written correctly but they mentioned first 2 letters of my father's name in it . For example my name is Rakesh kumar Mohanlal Gupta in indian passport . In PR card they mentioned my name as : Gupta Rakesh kumar Mo . I came to know from my friends that same will be written in my citizenship certificate and in canadian passport . I don't want that . It is not the case of name change . It is case of how to display the name ? I checked on cic website but there is no specific guidance for my case . Please guide me in detail what should I do ?

Go to any Para-Legal or a Notary Public. Some charge 22 bucks for the first page. It will be well worth your visit. They have done this umpteen times.
All you do is post EXACTLY what you want to see in the PR CARD or the PP or your Driver's Licence as an announcement into any of the local news papers. They will charge you for this. You will then be happy because it is what you want to be known as from that day. All this is to be done before you get your Citizenship.
Then get a few good copies of the news paper and hang on to them like dear life.
Get all of the Documents and update them. First your Indian Pass Port. That is the Only Legal Document you have to travel out of the country, so do it first. Then you can take your own sweet time to update the others.
Hope this helps you a little.
FH.
P.S. : What will you do to change your Birth Certificate!! Just hang on to it for now.

Full House .
Its not name change . In my PR Card they added first 2 letters of my father's name same in my landing paper . In my canadian driving licence my name is correctly displayed as I want .
Lets say for an example : My full name including father's name in indian passport is : Rakesh kumar Mohanlal Gupta .
So in PR Card and landing paper they mentioned : Gupta Rakesh kumar Mo . I just want to remove " Mo "

I can only guess, and if correct what you see in the birth Certificate is the Full name. So, Leave it there. But most of the time we have to fill out the application for other cards and Certificates and when you want a certain name on it, you just fill in ONLY the required details. Nothing more nothing less.
So, in this case, you will have to omit the portion that you do not want. So, the supporting documents will have something extra there for them to pick up the additional details (Mo) and added to it.
To over come this, you would like to choose only Three words for the documents. The rest have become irritable to you. So, say you change the name in your Passport to (1)Rakesh (2) Kumar (3) Gupta., The Passport will be in the format that you want. So, the First Name, Middle Name and the Last name(Surname) will be the way you want. So drop the (Mohanlal) Mo out of it completely. That will never give them a chance to add anything to your name. But it will be there in your birth certificate anyway. You can do nothing about it.
This dropping a word is a minor correction to us. But it is a NAME CHANGE to the LEGAL Authorities. Everything will fall in place if we do it the right way and try and please everybody. Let them call it what they want.
If all of the other documents are correct, then my suggestion to you about correcting your Passport is O.K. too.
What does it cost? Please contact a news paper and talk with them. It will be under $20 for the announcement. All you are doing is removing the 'Mo' or similar addition and also eliminating some one adding a syllable to it, from your Passport. ONLY a very few can ask for the Birth Certificate. So, save it and forget about it.
Also that will streamline and get all of the documents to the format that you want and what you want to be called from that day.

I know a MO here from Egypt, Mohamud-Mohamed. So, it might throw you into a different Country too.
