I have been maintaining an ING account for more than 2 years now. Never a problem good interest and very safe and good customer support .

plus.. the thing i like best about ING is that you cant access the funds immideately... so it *really* *really* cuts down on impulse buying and the money you end up designated as savings actually become savings because its not as easy to get to...
Ing a/c as a savings option is defintely better. Better interest rates of 2.25% now !
Also for opening a new a/c - till 15th August you are paid $13 !!!! But you have to be referred by me !

In my opinion Money Master A/C in Scotia is a better choice. If you alraedy have a a/c with Scotia you can open this a/c via internet. Both the a/c can be managed on internet. To save charges in chequing a/c either maintain $2000.00 in chequing a/c or $10000.00 in MM A/C.
I had mortgage with ING. My experience is not good. their Customer Service is very poor. They seldom respond back calls.
