I want you to go back 2000 years. O.K. It will be too far back and long long ago. So, go back just a very short period of 200 years.

Canada was and has been a wilderness, and in this wilderness survival of the fitest was the order of the day and it will always be. Added to that we face the extreme cold which is very harsh and hard to overcome. Had it not been for the Natural gas pipe lines of today, we all will be shoveling the coal or the hard wood into the furnace. Just to keep a small amount of heat with in the four walls. You saved yourself FOUR good hours there, just because we all have this convenience. And imagine who will be able to afford the heating, if the price of Heating Gas doubles. None of us. I will say screw this and head south like all of the ducks do and come back after all of the snow has melted and look for another job for the next six months.

So, who were the predicessors that hung in there in Canada two hundred years ago. Yes, they were just the farmers that the Canadian Government brought from the EUROPE. Why from England and Europe. Earth was flat then and Immigration was unheard of. So, they rounded up all of the street urchins and the no good lousy prisoners from all over England and a few farmers who were promised a few acres of land and a free passage into Canada. And then said, let them fend for themselves.!

Before the animal husbandry entered the picture, they used to hunt in the wilderness and saved the carcass for the rest of the year. Remember that there was NO REFRIGIRATION. So, they smoked their meats. Until the arrival of the EUROPEANS, they had no knowledge of how to preserve the meats by cooking and saving them in the form of sausages. They used animal intestines to stuff and preserve the cooked meats. They salted and spiced the meats to hold it for an extra long period.

You might have come from the tropics and might have grown amidst Vegetarians. But on this continent MEAT was the main course. Wheat was the next that permitted them to have a loaf of bread on their table. You know the tables that we have in the out doors, it was just like a picnic benches then. They had log houses and initially were plastered in mud, just to seal the gaps that were drafty. If you had seen the floors that existed then, it was just DIRT. And the people who lived in them were called DIRT POOR. In those days they needed ammonia to cure the animal skins and a few saved their urine and exchanged it for a very small portion of the meat from the tanners and butchers. And those who did this exchange were known as PISS POOR.
You can imagine the cruelty these animals had to go through, because they were treated as such. They were disposable. Now comes the HALAL kind of meat, yes they say all of their prayers etc., and go through the rituals. And then, they experience no better treatment than what you see in the link. They get their throats slit wide open and left to die. Then they wait to see that one last kick. It is horrible. Imagine my trying to explain all of this to you in explicit language. IT IS SAD.

NOW they claim that people who eat RED MEATS expose themselves to CANCER. Having said that, do take a look at the population, half of them do look that they do enjoy in eating the MEATS and relish it. Also they don't care what will happen tomorrow as they live just for today. This country is built on this principle and the Government is based on this principle. Changing it will be impossible and what you see in the link must keep on repeating to satisfy the needs of these people who look to eat the same each and every day.

CRUELTY to Animals should stop. But will it stop? Not as long as it is their staple food and people look forward to eating it in a Submarine or in a hot dog or an hamburger or a sausage or a plate full of butter chicken.!

Either you start to change your views or stop complaining. Can't do both. Canada is a cosmopolitan society and so let the other half lead a life that they want to live and we carry on side by side.
