An acquaintance is thinking of renting in Scarborough . Can CDs advise which are the better areas amongst the following and in general ?

Please define good and mention ethinicity of your friend . Areas that you have mentioned are full of sri lankans .
IMO areas that are relatively good in Scarborough are Port Union or close to Victoria park . Stay close to 401 .

I lived for five years at Brimley and Lawrence and never had any kind of issues except school was very low rated and I saw the influence on my kids big time .

If I have to chose between two options than Sheppard and Midland is far better and more expensive .

Schools in Warden / 401 area are rated very well .
Just make sure that what ever area he chose there should be no "low income society " nearby .

Don Mills- Sheppard is also a very good area, I have spent 2 years in that area, initially when I landed in this country, this area has now developed for better, with new condo construction right on the subway line at Don Mills. Fairview mall is located opp the Don Mills subway station , well connected by TTC busses going to Scarborough Town centre, .
Good school located south of 401.
