Hello,

I am really worried over Public schools academics and have few queries:

1)Are all public schools academically strong and equal in all GTA?

2)Is it a good and wise decision to choose the area of living according to the Fraser Institute Ranking?

3)I have choosen these three locations based on High Rankings for Elementary,Middle and High Schools-

a)Eglinton and Yonge-(Rents are expensive and heard problems of bedbugs, roaches and mices)

Eglinton Junior PS , Hodgson Sr PS, North Toronto CI

b)Near Kenndy Rd. and Progress Avenue-(Rent are ok and also problem of bedbugs, roaches and mices)Any Condos for rent near by?Are condos free of pests?

Glamorgan Jr PS, Ellesmere -Statton PS, Winston Churchill CI

c)Near Eglinton Avenue East and Cedar Dr.-(Rent are ok and again problem of bedbugs, roaches and mices)Any Condos for rent near by?

Cedar Drive Junior PS, Bliss Carman Sr PS, Sir Wilfrid Laurier CI

If pests are all over in GTA apartments then how you overcome this problem?
Are condos free of pests? If so kindly share your experiences and affordable condos near these three locations....

In your views how are these areas in terms of security, convenience, living without car facility and esp. their Middle schools and High schools enviroment ?Are
there any problem of Middle school girls pregnany,High school kids engage in Drugs or any other kind of negative attitudes ?If so kindly guide me....
If you further recommend any other area with academically strong Middle and High schools and rental apartments (Apartments must free of all kinds of pests)do let me know.....

Thanks for Reading....

1. NO, not all public schools are strong. Some districts are great and some are not.
2. If you can afford, yes, you should choose the school district to live.

No idea about GTA school districts...so that's all I can comment.

Great or poor schools, you'll find a share of problems whether it may be related to crime, pregnancy, drugs, bullying, etc etc. You can only teach your kids on what is considered right and wrong, but you can't stop them from learning what's happening at school. The key is for you to teach your kids to exercise good judgement regardless of what they see/hear/learn at school.

I've said this elsewhere...kids know more than you think they know.

Yes, pests could be a problem. It does exist but doesn't mean it's there everywhere. Common pests could be spiders, ants (not a big deal) to termites (more common in homes than in high rises) to bed bugs (serious and is to be avoided).

No idea about bed bug registry. Sorry.

Are you trying to find out if there would be problems or are you facing problems of pest?
