Strike going on at CIC by PAFSO union

It appears that there is a strike going on at CIC by Professional Association of Foreign Service Officers (PAFSO) union since May 2013.

In contingency mode, CIC is processing the applications at minimal level of service as stated in the notice. Therefore it is crucial to submit the renewal application as soon as possible.

Does that mean the processing of existing applications is stand still?
Anybody has any news?

Its slow that's for sure.

Hopefully they speed up and make up for the lost time , if and when the strike is over ..otherwise there will be delays even after the strike is over due to the backlog.

Hopefully some overtime hours are put in after the strie is over.
