Hi
Does anybody know good economical orthodontist? Need to have braces fixed for two kids without insurance so would appreciate an economical recommendation.
visit India
When 2 kids are involved and also when you donot have insurance, it is always better to take a trip to India to do it.
Univ. of Toronto is supposed to treat children (may be less than 8 or 10 years) for free dental. Call / google and find out.
There may be also so health clinics doing that for free or subsidized rates in Toronto.

Getting braces done from India is a not a workable solution. I can tell you from experience.
My daughter has braces. Every 4-6 weeks we have to visit the ortho for adjustments, tightening etc. So you're back to square one. There is a possibility that when you go to ortho here they'll take out some deficiencies in the initial work, which may be genuine. Besides, how much will you save, or rather you'll land up spending more if you add the airfare etc.
OP, I can give you the contact of the ortho my daughter visits, provided you around Richmond Hill. Ask the Dr. if they're willing to give you a discount since you don't have insurance. They offered me a 5% discount for paying the entire amount upfront. We visited 2 Ortho's the cost difference between the 2 was around 16%. Try cold calling. It won't hurt, worst case they'll say - No.
Also keep in mind the Ortho should be close by. You have to keep visiting every 4 to 6 weeks, and distance matters.
