Dear All,
How is London in Ontario compared to Toronto???
Pls share your views and thoughts.
Appreciate all your responses.
Thanks in advance.
London is fine. I just met him yesterday <no puns intended>.
Dude, one post is enough to inquire. You had 3. Patience is the virtue .
Good luck.
Once you start moving out of Toronto to smaller cities, you will find less of everything Indian, less Indian shops, less choice of Indian restaurants, less choice of Indian grocery, not much of Indian cultural events. If you come out of Toronto, you can save on rent (and may be mortgage depending on the house you go for) and car insurance.
There is a mandir in London http://www.hcclondon.ca/ You can visit on the weekend and chat with a few people to get the information you are looking for.
There is also Gujarati Mandal in London. You can contact them for more information on the city from an Indian perspective http://www.facebook.com/gujaratimandal.londonontario
Regarding public schools, every city has good and not so good schools. You can find that information from Fraser Institute's website.

I live in a small city in NS with hardly any Indian population, never faced any problems. You can always get food supplies for few of months to last.
From what I understand from life's of my friends living in TO, they have everything Indian available but one thing which is required to enjoy i.e., time is what they do not have.
Commute or Rent kills you in TO .
Have you ever worked & lived in Toronto for more than 6 months ??
Or have your friends living in Toronto joined you ?

Fido.
London might be a good place to live. It is a decent city.
Jobs are very less. if you go to London with a job offer, then you will love London.
Slowly the craze of living in Toronto with all its traffic, Desi's, Mandir's will catch upon you and you will move to Toronto (or atleast try to).
This is a cycle that I have seen.
I also agree on raj Canada's points.
Peace
