Would anybody be interested in joining or forming a group of families with children to meet say once in a month, especially around festivals:
1. Only families with children under say 16yrs
2. Commitment to socialise with the group
3. Any community welcome - so no groups within groups
4. No groaners/ moaners or bashers
5. We can arrange potluck at a different member's house each time
6. Enjoy Diwali/Holi etc.
7. Brampton/Mississauga/Burlington/Milton/Oakville

I am willing to coordinate the initial set up. Those interested, please send me your details - like some basic information about you and your family and location. No need for too many personal details like tel. no. at this stage. Please also advise 2 convenient dates in November when a get together will suit you.

Once I have say 5-6 interested members, I shall make a descriptive list alongwith most convenient date and send it to all of these members.

I am hoping that we shall be able to form a group of some like minded people from back home.

Only 3responses, Koi Hai, knock knock, please reply, so we can plan anice Diwali Bash, with firecrackers for kids and lots of homemade Indian food and sweets

Sounds like a good plan..... Usually we go to those pay and go Diwali Bashes where you get a big table with 2-3 other families with 3-4 course meals..... DJ and dance and some entertainment..... Everyone is dressed to the nines..... There is a festive feel.... Kids love it....
