Germany had Walmart stores ... they shut shop in 2006 and Japan has a wholly owned subsidiary .... so what is your point.
Walmart coming to India is related to opening of retail sector in India. With the polarization in politics now , it is not going to happen now. However as soon as general electtions are over .... opening of retail sector will be the first order of bussiness for the new government .... be it Congress, BJP, left front or right front......
FYI .... all but one "cash and carry" Walmart stores operating in India right now are in BJP rules states .... go figure this one !!!

If in 2014, BJP as well as Kangress is not going to have PM, how does it mean that BJP has conceded defeat? If the statement is to be taken at its face value, both the parties are losers or if statement is not correct, then it does not matter. Like low IQ kangress people, you cannot apply this selectively to just BJP when it clearly has been made in context of BOTH the parties.

As regards Wal-mart, Kangress has allowed its cash and carry entry which was supposed to be just for wholesalers but like any other license granted by Kangress, the provisions are openly flouted in Delhi – just Google it.
Advaniji is far above all these petty politics. His integrity is unquestionable.
By saying that there could be non-BJP, non-Cong President, he would have meant one of the many possibilities that the election results may throw. It may be a warning bell for his own partymen asking them to work for an outright majority.
Also the media has this strange habit of pitching for a non-BJP Prime Minister even when the leader has an insignificant number of MPs with him, like with erstwhile Vajpayee's government and now they shower undue attention on Bihar's Nitish Kumar. At best he can bring 30 or 40 MPs from Bihar. How can he be a competitor for Modi if BJP wins more than 200 MPs. But still Nitish Kumar nurtures his ambition, even to the extent of working against his ally BJP.

Don't forget the VP Singh, Devilal, Chautala combo.. it was a nightmare.
Unfortunately, the future looks very grim for India.,
For one other reason Advani could be the most eligible candidate (his party sucks with internal politics though).,
I wouldn't be surprised if P.Chidambaram makes up as the next Prime Minister, Sonia wouldn't allow as she wouldn't be able to use him like a puppet. But PC would have a big challenge to act as a regular politician, he can't easily appease the average Joe to vote for him. Rajya Sabha is his way to ascend (is it really allowed).
