Dear Desi's,

Many of our Seniors face common barrier issues around their homes like

Difficulty climbing Stairs
Difficulty getting in and out of the Bathtub etc.

Below are a few common solutions .

1. Stairlift - Stair lifts, or chair lifts, or stair chairs as they are sometimes known, are basically chairs which travel up and down a staircase for people who either can't, or find it difficult to climb stairs. A standard installation involves attaching a rail of some sort to the stairs for the chair to travel on, installation of the chair on the rail and installation of call/send switches mounted at both the top and bottom of the staircase.
Price Range - $2900 for straight stairs and $10,000 for curved stairs.

2. Bathtub -
The cheapest solution to overcome this barrier is Tub cutting.
Bathtub to shower conversion process transforms your existing bathtub into a safe and accessible walk-in shower in just over an hour.
This fast and affordable process works on just about any tub by simply cutting out a section of your existing bathtub and installing a custom fit threshold allowing you to step through instead of over the bathtub wall.
Price Range - $900

If such situation arise, it could help to move to a single floor smaller apartment which has standing shower and put some rubber mats in the shower.
