You could not have said it better.
India still has a lot of poor people for whom rise in the price of vegetables, groceries, gas, Kerosene, Diesel, Railways matter a lot.
Wonder why the govt. is not raising the price of tobacco, AC's, Cars, High end vehicles, Costly TV's etc.. These can ensure that the common indian has a level playing ground.
Indian govt. has ensured that taxes to the rich are high.
It is a good news that A/C coach prices have not been rolled back.

Nope, this will further increase the rich poor gap and corruption in minds , denial of basics to majority of population, greed to earn more money, less consumer base for business houses may impact economy
