the older kid was behaving erratically in the class room.
That’s what prompt teacher to tell the authorities.

then child care people start visiting every one hour or either daily or weekly basis( not sure), as I read in one of newspaper

On their regular visits they found the mother depress . the kid was not emotionally attach to his parents. that when norway authorities take action.

As for eating with and sleeping with father case. These were just one of few points raised by the child people. indian Media pick up only these points. As these were weaker points for norway to defend due to culturely diff
rest is the history.

I am not sure what is the citizenship status of the kids. In case they are norway citizen, then NRI parents or indian govt have very limited hold.
But in case they are still indian citizen, then may be rightts are more.

it may be too much what they did in Norway , but the story is almost similar in the western world where authorities can put your child in foster care .

which is destrying families in the western world .

So much for our so called "family values" and blaming "Gora log" for everything bad.

At the cost of protecting "Ghar Ki Izzat", we are now the laughing stock of world.

Action of just two people bring shame to 1.1 billion people

I fully agree ... Lot of difference between perception and reality of "Indian family values"

Poor Kids! Though they got no clue at this time and may not be even longing for biological parents but will be impacted for life.

Initially most of the people criticized Norway Child Care Deptt. but seems like they were right in their action given the situation in the couple except giving the reasons such as children were sleeping with parents and fed with hands !! I wish better sense prevails among all the family care takers, long term solution is found and Children have a happy life ahead. Lot depends on Parents who committed themselves, not long time back, to have the kids and give them a good life. Are they even thinking, separated or not , how will they feel about the row after few years ?

So if parents have "marital discord" as stated in the article, the state is justified in taking away the kids? I'm not defending the parents, however this does not absolve the Norway govt.'s actions in any way until more concrete details surface. A lot of it still sounds like hearsay. Besides, you need to consider the enormous stress caused to a marriage in a situation like this, maybe they're separating because of this. Don't count on the sensationalist Indian media to even fathom that complex detail.

And saying this somehow shames the millions of parents in India who make tremendous sacrifices everyday to better their kids' lives is ludicrous.

Anyways, the true victims without any fault in this joke of a case are the poor kids. Can't help but feel sorry for them.
