Hi all,

I use a Danby portable washer, which is AWFULLY noisy when it spins. Checking if you anybody knows of / can recommend a repairman to whom I can take the machine for repairs.

If you have time and having a tool box, just take a chance and tighten all possible nut bolts. Start with wheels.
* Make sure to disconnect power supply first and DO NOT TOUCH electric motor or parts at all. (It may give shock even it is not connected to plug)
**When you lay down washer, keep open ends of hoses away, there will be water come out.
***When you lay washer down, don't drop it, keep wheels closer to wall for support or get a help from another person.

I had a Kenmore washer leaking. I got estimate of $50 house service and $60 parts. I took a chance and found where water was leaking. Opened the leaking part, cleaned it and put it back. Same time, I tightened some nut bolts for wheel and screws for other parts of washer's body. Leaking problem is solved and it is as quiet as new.

Saved money, and saved time.

Thanks guys.

I believe the transmission/bearings was gone. Bought a Haier.

MUCH MUCH MUCH better. Chinese engineering is superior to Canadian engineering.
