my son dropped a mid size long screw in wash basin, will it create problem ? what should we do now ? or wait till we face problem ? thanks.

You are in big trouble. :cuss: Just kiddding. I like your description - mid size long :)

There is a P trap under the sink, you can open it with hand. When you see it looks like U but called P trap because of it extension. The screw is most likely sitting in there. If not, do not worry it will wash away with water into city sewer. It is loose screw, it should not do any damage.

buy new screw !!!! :p :p

since it was mid sized long, it should still roll down the drain...thank god it was not large size short or large size large screw !! ;)

If you are worried go to home depot and buy telescopic magnetic tool picker ( cost roughly $ 5 ) . It is very strong magnet and will pull the screw out of the basin in a jiffy .
