Hi friends,
I need to send some extra goods (personal belongings) to India,
Is it cheaper to send it by private carriers ?
or is it cheaper to carry as extra baggage when I fly, it could be more than 3 bags of luggage(>60 kgs)
Suggestions of any private carriers(cheap, and reliable)

Someone posted the contacts for DTDC courier before. They have office in Malton area - check the rates with them. I think the airline charges are very high...but you can check and compare with DTDC charges.

You can have more than two options;
1. You can take it with you as extra baggage, check with your airline. I paid Etihad $187/32kg and $137/23kg. I think Lufthansa charges very high around $285/32kg just make sure before flying.
2. You can expend your 23kg check in bags with 32kg each and pay $50 per each bag.
3. There are some private courier who send at $5/kg but takes 2-3 months to reach destination. (Pick up from you and Home delivery other end so little headache free service.)
4. There are faster service for small load is $10/kg (min 5kg) 5-6days home delivery.
*Just keep in mind that even you have nothing electronics or declarable at airport, still custom officer will expect you to pay $50-100 if there are extra baggages at Indian airport.
If you need more info or contact info for above couriers please PM me, or check in local Desi News Media.
