Per tv channels, Telugu film star Jr. NTR is getting 500 crores (CDN $110 million) as dowry. Not only dowry, as Jr. NTR is competing and comparing himself with another star Chiranjeevi, Jr. NTR wanted to have a tv channel for himself just as Chiranjeevi has MAA TV. Getting a tv channel was the main attraction that motivated Jr. NTR to accept this alliance. Jr. NTR is older than the bride by 11 yrs, that’s their personal issue.
Rs. 500 crores as dowry? No marriage takes place in Andhra Pradesh without dowry. If one claims they did not take dowry, they are lying. When there are people who demand dowry, when there are who are ready to give dowry, this evil system will never end in our country, just like corruption.
The girl is quite pretty and looks much younger to Jr NTR.
Seems the girl's parents must be moron to get their daughter married to a politician cum film actor , real scum of India. For Rs. 500 she could have had any of IIT/IIM graduate or for that matter any of CD members or perhaps ALL CD members. Why settle for a scum?

Jr NTR's father in law Narne has over 6000 cr in properties. A road in super rich banjara hills is named after Narne. He owns a tv channel. Train takes 5 min to cross his east city estate before arriving Hyd rly station. I heard he has two daughters. So each one share is 3000 cr. NTR just got an advance of 500 cr from his 3000 cr share. you call it dowry, prepayment anything. 68 lakh saree, 2 crore stage are not a big deal considering 3000 cr.

It's not about AP only . I think this evil is more in other areas too where there are social structures. I don't keep it exceptional for even recently held Royal Wedding too. But mostly the things are not coming out on the surface.
That exactly was my point. Why a girl with such a family and wealth should marry a scumbag politician? She is pretty and could have any other intelligent and decent person. Of all, marrying a scumbag? Look how Infosys owner’s daughter married a well-educated guy. Most Indian politicians are the worst kind of human (?) being, NTR Jr. being no exception.
