I am a Canadian citizen and interested in moving to the US for work. I know it will be suggested that I take the TN visa route. However I do not want to go that way, because as I understand, one cannot apply for Green card while on TN visa whereas on an H1B it is possible. Also, while in theory TN visa can be renewed indefinitely, I have been given to understand that after the first few renewals, the authorities start getting suspicious and may refuse the visa at any time. Also living year to year creates a lot of uncertainty and stress. Does anyone know of any potential H1B sponsors in the US? I have searched and looked at several jobs on websites like monster etc, but all of them want candidates who are either US citizens or green card holders. Most of them even state clearly that they are not willing to sponsor H1Bs and so on. So I was wondering where have all those body shoppers of yonder years gone? People are still coming from India on H1Bs, but who are the employers. How to get in touch with a H1B sponsor from here. Any help and advice will be appreciated.
