iPad for now is an entertainment & internet connecting device. Yes, it has iWork & MobileME for additional $200 or so to get some work done. If you are used to iPod Touch or iPhone then you will feel that iPad is more or less extension of it.

It surely won't replace your prim notebook - not as yet but can definitely ignite your senses in living room computing if you are tech/toy savy.

If you love your gadgets then sure go for it ... otherwise its hard to justify close to $1000 for juiced-up 64GB version with 3G wireless. And its not just hardware but software also will help you make experience rich n poor.

Though the price makes it an attractive buy, I would wait till the next generation of iPad which hopefully will have multithreading capability (e.g. Listening to music while browsing or Instant messaging and built in Camera).

If there is a forced choice I would rather prefer to buy iTissue over iPad..whoever came up with the ingenius name.
