I landed in canada in april of 2007. Fortunate enough to get a job in a small company in mississauga in my field (Electronics) for a pay little better than TimHorton's . No better job offers after that. When asked for pay rise after one year I was advised to find another job if i can. I am always reminded by the management that if i leave this job, they have thousands of applicants ready to work for lesser salary. The only encouraging fact is that i was reporting to a PEO. After about one and half yrs of process i received my PEO last week. It was obviously one of the happiest days in Canada. I know my company is not going to give me any credit for my achievement. I dont blame anybody after all this is market driven economy.
To achieve this i have faced many humiliations.
I wish to to know from the forum members, did PEO really made any significant difference in their marketability. Are there any government jobs for electronics engineers?
regards and thanks in advance.
