Saw it on the weekend. It was boring, absurd and poor comedy. Ridiculous most of the time. The reason it is a hit in India because no other good movie was released during that time. If Housefull was to be released with Kites or Rajneeti, it would have been a washout. Still there was tonnes of PR done for the movie by SK and others.

Completely agree. I saw that last weekend as well and was thanking God from deep down inside that I didn't go to Theatre to watch this absurd movie. Sajid's first movie 'Hey Baby' was a way better than this. Barring a few moments, Houseful went down the drain for me all the way. And, can someone please tell me what the hell was the climax? Were we suppose to laugh at all? I sat poker faced throughout the movie (except a few 'gay' scenes), least mention the climax.
I love wholesome entertainments, and brainless comedies of Govinda and Akshay. However, this one? A big NO....
It is hit in India due to the aggressive marketing ploy, which to it's credit is fair. The producers have to recover their money and they certainly mean business (who won't?)
Being a huge Akshay fan, I was hughly dissapointed for the first time.

Let me rephrase. "Love Aaj Kal" was a dumb movie, and IMO, they made Deepika's character the way it was, just to make her cool and hep.
Looking at her popularity, I think she will be forced to play dumb characters just for sake of popularity. It will be a major move for her, should she choose to to be selective in her roles.
