Hello Fellow CDs
I am planning to take the TX1 examination in Summer 2010 (i think the exam date is Sept 1 2010)
As I understand, there are no classroom lectures during summer session hence wanted to know if I could manage this exam by doing it as a correspondance course through self study
Any pointers, tips on how to go about facing this examination and also reference to any good exam materials/books would be of great help
Thanks
You can find prior exams here:

I would enroll for TX1 through college or university (online or lecture option) instead of CGA. It will be cheaper, easier and gives you a chance to make new friends.
Once you pass the TX1 course, you just transfer it to CGA.
According to this month's edition of the CGA magazine, a mutual recognition agreement between CGA and ICAI is to be expected in the near future.

Thanks for the detailed reply voltrex. I would need to do it via correspondance due to my work related timing hence request you to point me to some tips/tricks on approaching this exam by correspondance course if possible
What level course is it?
Do the past papers - it gives you an idea of what is expected .
The text and module notes should suffice. Are there any assignments or Quizes .... that helps you to earn marks.

Thank you
I am also joining TX1 for summer session. Any suggestions to improve grade.
