The meaning is no where near to what you said Amit. This verse (from Gita) can best be described in present context as 'A professional should always work towards perfection in his/ her field ...'

There is no guarantee of best results from a professional only. A professional can make mistakes, go un professional (sometimes), or many times.

True. Additionally, how can you associate Gita verse with that of Realtor's job, who act only for their own interests is beyond my comprehension. Specifically, a Realtor earning a commission of $10,000 to $14,000 on $3,50,000 house is (again) ridiculous - regardless of however RE professionals try to rationalize it. No wonder they have a little of seller's interest in mind.

Here in BC, they have already started advertising MLS flat fee model. Here's one such site:

I think realtors in Canada are over hyped and is a component in house buying which should be best done away with ...

Inspectors take care of inspection and lawyers take care of legal processes ..... if the system does away with Realtors , there can be lots of saving for both the buyer and seller ... Middle men just make money .

I think govt. should make VERY standard forms and agreement documents.
So there is no catch or no personalized things except the personalized aspects of house or property.

If we go to lawyers than also it should be standard formXXX by govt. so lawyer just fill up the house info!

I m interested right now in selling my condo and thinking what way should I go...
If some one has suggestions, please PM me...
