Here is a Yahoo website which gives you the USD-INR Charts. : http://finance.yahoo.com/q/bc?s=USDINR=X
Here is the same in CAD-INR : http://finance.yahoo.com/echarts?s=CADINR=X#chart3:symbol=cadinr=x;range=my;indicator=volume;charttype=line;crosshair=on;ohlcvalues=0;logscale=off;source=undefined

Since end of February 2010 till today we lost one whole rupee or about 2.2% of its value. With Canadian Dollar gaining momentum, it will get worse.

How to save you from loosing more?. You will have to sell it to some one who has the need for it. Since the amount is not a very large sum, your loss will be small. So, post it in the Classifieds and see who will take it off your hands. What you currently have is about CAD 440.00 +/- the commissions. About the same in US Dollars too.

Freddie.

Export of Indian Currency is strictly prohibited. However Indian residents when they go abroad are allowed to take with them Indian currency not exceeding Rs. 5000.

In contradiction to above, you can buy/sell INR from TD Canada Trust.
