Till now for all those routine check ups/ problems, I had been visiting my family doctor. One recent problem was big enough for him to advice me to go to 'Emergency'. I experienced real and knowledge backed treatment there backed by long waits off course.
Vis-a Vis those 'Tylenol' doctors who are more interested in planning there next trip to Florida (to get away with all the tension accumulated after working for few days), play golf and thinking where to invest the money to grow it faster. Not to forget, how and from where to make their kids doctor. So as another doctory shop is opened to mint money out of ill-planned Canadian medical system.
Ben
whats the point u r making...i dont understand ?
Indian medical system is no better..
Went for a eye checkup in bombay they eye doctor made me wait 2 hrs till 9.30 pm and then said i will have to come next day again to dialate my eye..
I would have taken me 4-5 hrs for the whole ordeal..
What we get for free we cannot appreciate.. Canada has one of the best health care systems..
it is not perfect it has its flaws, mostly due to bad governance.. If we increase the number of openings for residency then all the issues will be solved as the supply will outstrip the demand..
The CMA is to be blamed for this..
Chossing a good Doctor is also a difficult task...
most of the time they dont have place for new paitent and the one u get is always a freshner .
but then again, talk to few ppl around u and get the reference u may get a good doctor - less trouble if u find good one.
I have same problem , when i move to Toronto. i went to one doctor ( african), it was very bad experiance,,,, then i start meeting few ppl and i find good referance , Things change after... this doctor did full body check up because i was from different province,,, advice me in details ( i m diabitic), and also refer good doctore for my kids.
