Hi all,
I am an Indian working in Dubai, United Arab Emirates as Finance Manager for over 5 years.
I have financial management experience of over 20 years and for the last 17 year I have been working in senior level positions.
I have done CMA and CFM from ICMA, USA. I have also cleared 3 papers of CPA and have to appear for the 4th and last paper to complete CPA.
Now we are planning to land in March 2010. Could anyone help me with my following questions:
1. How could I enroll for CGA/CMA Canada - Would there be any credits available. I have done my B. Com., and Diploma in computer Science from an University in Gujarat (Saurashtra University to be precise)
2. What are the prospects of getting a managerial job in finance field?
3. If I am planning to actually come to Canada by 2013 and not now, what all education I must pursue now so that I can land a managerial position?
4. I am an entrepreneurial net worker too, how is the network marketing and MLM industry doing over there?

CGA grants credits to many foreign accounting designations:
a CMA-US falls under path 3

CPA-US is exempted from the CMA Entrance Exam

Note: The credits are given only if you have a CPA license and in good standing, passing the CPA exam or having a certificate is not enough.

CMA will be more useful to land a managerial position especially in Ontario.
However, you must be physically present in Canada to pursue the CMA.
