So i do have some background in IT and have now worked for only about a couple of years in HR related field. I am wondering how to possible fuse them toghether ? would it even be useful and what possible branches of career can root out of combining IT and HR fields.

Anyone who knows anything and can share will be great. Wondering what school or courses i should take to get myself in to a combo of HR and IT

I would love to pursue HR altoghether, but i feel that this field in Canada is purely female driven and hardly see any male peers for HR managers in most of the firms. What would be other branching of careers for someone with HR managing experience and background in IT.

I am very interested to know what academics would help to suceed in such a career direction. All assistance appreciated.

Thanks :)

well... i suggest you to do a course in HR from canada coz here the laws and practises are little different. My class has good number of male students. so dont worry... even men are interested in HR.u will find more info as u go on knowing about it.

regards,
santhoshi

Thank you for responding - The reason i got a little worried is that lets say if i do apply for a HR role in a company where majority of applicants are female, chances for me being picked up are quite less. Please do not deem this to be a sexist comment at all but i just was quite curious to know if i should even bother going further deep into HR or may be go more towards supervisor/managment type studies (not sure what they would be). In seneca, for the courses for HR I hardly see any male students at all - thats what got me all thinking :)
