Hi,
I want to transfer around $10K in US$ to India and keep it FNCR.
If I don't spend it over next 2 months, I would like to repatriate it back.
However, I only see FNCR accounts are fixed deposit. However, I don’t to fix my cash. How come they dont have a chequing account facility with FNCR?
Is this possible?
Thanks
If you are in North America it is not possible to open a Dollar chequing or savings account, FD is the only option. The other option is NRE savings account in Rupees which is fully repatriable.
Hope this helps.
