I am asking this again...is there a faster way to study and finish course / prepare for exam besides study material ? Thanks.
Unless you are availing of training provided by an employer or third party trainers, who might provide a more defined and structured study method plus practice questions (that may match the real exam closely), I am afraid, the CSC text might be the only source.
To complete the study in a structured manner and still maintain sanity, I would recommend studying for no more than 4 weeks per exam. Better yet, impose a deadline on yourself by booking the first exam. Finish the first, then book the next one and allow 4 weeks. Don't try to cram both exam material at a time, rather finish one and then start the next.
Also, setup a schedule for each of the days during the 4 week period. You may start, say, study Chaps 1,2 and 3 - day 1; chap 4 and 5 - day 2; chap 6 and 7 - day 3; chap 8 and 9- day 4, chap 10, 11 and 12 on separate 3 days. Then allot review time to go back for these chapters and allot practice time for any test questions on these chapters. This is just an example. A similar structure for CSC 2 might help.
Hope this helps a little bit.
