Franklin Templeton Investments is currently looking for a Business Systems Analyst (IT) for our North York office.
The IT Business Systems Analyst leads efforts to recommend, develop and document business and technical processes and requirements within a designated business unit, department, or group. Identifies and evaluates opportunities for process improvement and training. Relies on ability to interpret and apply corporate and department policies, procedures and standards to accomplish tasks.
The IT Business Systems Analyst may provide metrics and reports on technologies and processes to assist managers in maximizing value of equipment, personnel, and/or business processes. Analyzes data through consistent application of methodologies, drawing from best practices of various disciplines--including engineering, science and operations. May work closely with other staff, such as the Software engineering staff, throughout the project lifecycle to ensure project scope and/or objectives are met.
Your responsibilities include:
Communicate with the business community to gather and document requirements and identify potential requirement(s) and business impacts
Support the software engineer in the creation of technical specifications
Perform alpha quality control testing
Support business community in integration and acceptance testing as necessary
Follow up on changes required as a result of user acceptance testing to ensure all documentation is updated accordingly and business consensus is achieved
Communicate with Sr. IT Business Systems Analyst, Project Manager, Manager and/or business unit Managers on the status of deliverables and project issues
Author the System Delivery Specification documentation and perform document walk through
Analyze, coordinate and support training as needed to meet departmental needs due to project changes
Act as the customer advocate to ensure that FTT provides the business with required service levels
Work with the business units to document and resolve business system problems and issues
Assist with or facilitate project meetings
Revise documentation to reflect system revisions and modifications, as needed
As the qualified candidate you possess:
Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or equivalent experience
Minimum 2+ years experience delivering projects using a standard Project Life Cycle Methodology, preferably Summit D
Intermediate knowledge working with Microsoft Office applications to create Power Point presentations, Visio diagrams, Access tables and Excel spreadsheets
Intermediate technical knowledge in area of expertise
