Thanks to all .

I was researching and found the following information ( some with qs) and wished to share & validate .

1. Strollers come in 3 varieties of folding style ... The ones which fold standing (w/o having to bend) are the easiest .

2. Graco , Evenflo , Eddy Bauer , Pel Pelegro , Cosco are a few popular brands .

3. Sometimes its inconvenient to put the stroller in the boot esp if the car is small ... The work around is to use a snap-n-go which is a hollow stroller to which the infant car seat can snap into .

4. Kids out grow strollers after an year to an year and a half and then you have to look for an 'umbrella stroller ' ...... Are these 2 categories different ?

5. To avoid waking up the child to transfer from the car seat to the stroller , its better to buy a travel system which is a compatible stroller and infant seat which can fit into each other with a snap ..... Although generally speaking the kids tray lock/unlock of any stroller should be able to accommodate any car seat as long as the snack tray can lock back .. IS THIS CORRECT ?

6. I had brought a Cosco stroller and car seat from Zellers last week @ $60/- each but was wondering of buying a better brand .... I haven't opened them as yet and might consider returning .... Has anyone used Cosco and if yes is it good / bad / ok ??

7. Is it ok to buy from craigslist if you are getting a much better system for lesser price .... if the car seat and stroller appear to be in good condition .... ?

I personally would not buy any second hand stroller/carrier/cot unless I knew the family I was purchasing from and could judge how it had been used.

We had one of those travel systems and our child was able to use it till about two and a half years of age. The travel systems are expensive (as you must know). The umbrella strollers are the very light weight ones that older kids sit in and cost between $25-50.
