We were in the same situation, landed and came back after 2 years to settle down. My personal opinion with regards to customs, smile ... be friendly and show some confidence, remember the Canadian govt. granted you the visa... these guys are just doing their job! off course they will ask you why did you leave? rehearse your reply, and remember to smile!
Sounds good Blaze :-)
What happens say, if after completing 3 years - I leave Canada without applying for citizanship.
Then, after 2 more years, my PR expires.
So, I apply for a new PR card.
Then do I have to start for 2 more years (again) to retain my status???
Canada residency rules are 2 years residency in last 5 years regardless of u having completed 3 years stay before..
If u dont apply for citizenship u have wasted ur 3 years stay..
Best to apply for citizenship if u have completed ur residency requirements.. then u can leave and comeback for the test and the oath..
