In about a fortnight's operation, our paramilitary forces like CRPF have driven out the Maoists who took control of entire district from Lalgarh to Ramgarh in West Bengal. The rebels who number about 20 to 50,000 mostly comprise of tribals have anything from bows and arrows to AK47s. Poor economic development, illiteracy, poverty, corrupt government machinery, etc, are given out reasons for them to have forged a long corridor from far away Nepal to Andhra Pradesh in the South. But these are no reasons for them to blow up police stations, railway stations, communication towers and trucks carrying police personnel with land mines and kill them by the dozen. Even when we were hearing the Lok Sabha election victory of Congress, there was this news of over 15 police personnel killed by these rebels in Maharashtra. The Maoists owe their success, to their over ground CPM sympathisers like Seetharm Yechury and the so called human rights advocates. It was funny of him to go and argue with the Home Minister Chidamabaram as to how could the Maoist CPI-ML organisation be banned, even as 1000s of security forces descended on Ramgarh to fight the rebels. This is what we can call height of hypocrisy. The CPM and even the Congress cry hoarse about RSS, who preach and practice Desh Bakti and would not raise their little finger against our jawans. These Maoist underground extremists are the pet children of the CPM, who now are trying to kill their parents themselves.
