Hi CD's,
I had filed my tax return for the first time (paper file) on 15th March. I did'nt get a response yet.
I had signed & submitted all my documents to a tax consultant who had visited Sudbury Office personally and had deposited my file.
I am wondering if there is a way to get a confirmation from Revenue Canada in regard to receipt of my file.
As only 2 days are left and am tensed if Revenue Canada denies receipt of my file.
Suggestions and advices appreciated.
Best Regards,
AAA.
If you have some kind of receipt etc from the tax consultant, that is proof enough that you have submitted...
Also, when filing for the first time, it normailly takes a long(er) time for CRA to send you a Notice of Assessment.

Hi,
I made a mistake in filing my return. Instead of getting a refund of $1300, I will have to pay $80 to CRA.
What should I do?
Should I wait for them to check the return or should I call them and inform of the mistake in terms of wrong calculation?
thanks

Hi,
I thank you for your response.
Just want to clear some things also, so we are on right track.
1) It was a paper return
2) this was not the first time I've filed my taxes
3) In the return, I had miscalculated to get a return of $1300; due to the error on my part, I should instead be paying CRA $80
So, to conclude - should I wait for CRA to get back to me with this error?
