Can any one please tell me that what is the procedure and requirments to get UK Visit Visa. Some one told me that landed immigrants can easily get the visit visa.

And also what about if some one wants to take Student Visa.?

I am planning to visit India within next couple of months from Canada and my flight will be via Heathro,UK .I am a landed Immigrant with valid PR card ..Do I need a UK transit visa if my flight is via UK(Stopover in Heathro will be for couple of hours only)

I think, being Indian Citizen you need Transit Visa.

“From 18 October 2003, certain nationals (including India and Pakistan) need visas to travel through the UK on their way to a third country.”

And I think you are in Montreal ...

But I don't think this office provides any Visa service. You may need to go Ottawa.

Yes Ani... You neet to have transit visa. otherwise they wont let u go out. For e.g. I went to Pk last month and there was a securty item in my hand carry. they put that into luggage (from Toronto Airport) and asked me to collect it from london. When I went to the beggage collection area. the officer asked me to show the transit visa. I told him that i dont have it and i need to collect my hand carry from there.
Any way then i went to the air line counter and they told me that you will get it back on karachi airport.

Now I am thinking about visit UK for 1 month. Actually some one told me that it takes about 3 month to get visa application processed, from Canada. and in other hand a guy told me that u can easily get that. so how it would be easy if some one wants to go there and he has to wait for 3 month to just make sure that he has got the Visa.

From Pakistan it takes only 15 days to get visa application processed. and now UK Embassy has announced to give more Visa's to the Pakistani. and they said that by the end of MAY, Pakistan will be the largest country among the countries who issue UK visit Visas.

I assume that in UK, Job situations are gonna be worst like here.

holders of valid US/Canadian visas who also hold a ticket to or from the US/Canada routed via the UK. holders of diplomatic or official passports issued by the People's Republic of China
holders of diplomatic or official passports issued by the government of India.
A direct airside transit visa is valid for a same day airside transit through a single UK airport. It is not valid for:

entry to the UK
a journey to the Republic of Ireland
a journey arriving at one UK airport and leaving from another
overnight stays in normal circumstances
passing through UK Immigration Control to collect baggage
