RBI allows every indivedual to repatriate upto USD 100,000 / YEAR.
Check with any nationalised bank.
If you go through Banks, you have to prove the source of income and
Income Tax paid or not, etc...etc...
You may have to shed about 30% as Income tax, then only you can go through banks.
Where as in Hawala no questions asked. But you have to know these agents' background and reputation before deciding.

Generally these guys work on trust as they settle the amount first then will collect from you.
I dealt with them in the past several years and u will get the info in the classified also. If not please PM me for details and reference.
Btw...even though u get the funds that way...how can u deposit amount in bank if its really huge. I guess here the banks will disclose info to IRS/CRA if they feel the money is not tax paid.
One more idea i can think of is, find out some new immigrants who are not bringing much money and pay them there and ask them to declare here as if they are bringing their money. At the time of landing you can bring as much as possible without taxable.
this is only a thought ..u will have to research in detail....
