Windows comes with some shortcuts to some programs.
But when we install new program/sotware. how can we creat a keyboard shortcut to it. So that everytime we press those keys it starts the program?
e.g. suppose we just installed a game, autocad, and google crome. how can we create keyboard shortcut (combination of keys) so that everytime we have to start any of these program, we just press [Esc] key then a unique key combination to start any of these program.
Also can anyone offer help how can i start any of this progam at a preset time (like playing a sing with media player for my wake-up alarm)
I am using Windows Vista Home Premuim edition.
Thanks in advance.

To create a shortcut of any program in Windows, please follow the steps below:
1. Right click on the application, e.g. if the application such as Internet Explorer is on the desktop, right click on it.
2. Among the listed options, click on 'Properties'
3. In the textbox field 'Shortcut', just type any one key on the keyboard. The textbox will change to 'Ctr+Alt+<the key you pressed>'. Use the key you want to open your application with.
4. Click OK
Now, for example you have entered the key 'Y' in the text box. The program for which you have changed the properties will open whenever you press 'Alt+Ctr+Y'. That's the process of creating a keys shortcut in Windows (If that's what you meant)
On to your second question, as to how you can turn your PC automatically - here's the link:
