Here is a map of down town Toronto. This will provide you with the streets close by. Check the Kijiji and Craigslist for starters. Post a request with the dollars that you want to spend or after averaging the rental costs post a request for a location within fifteen minutes walking distance of Ryerson. Post it in the wanted section of Ryerson Students accommodation. You may have to drop in 30 days prior to start of the year and take it. These places are always in demand and are booked long before you arrive on the scene. Some are already taken and booked and paid for. Rent under $600/m, Currently they want you to pay the Hydro and utilities too, which is extra. Hence the suggestion to commute to college from a location slightly away from the Ryerson. You will get a good selection and slightly better one than the sardine can that are close by. Make your decision after seeing all of the places. A personal visit to these places is well worth it, prior to occupation. DO NOT COMMIT to take one from a long distance.

Universities had a credit card services and you can make one application for a few of them. One of them is CIBC VISA and the other ones are Sears, HBC-BAY etc., You make one application and you will be offered a card by all of them. You should contact the Asian or Indian Students association there in the link provided. (First post) That will be the suitable place to ask and get EXACTLY what you want.

Good Luck.

Freddie.
