For the marriage in Question ... it could be that husband was not ready for ambitious & outgoing wife. Guy had a chance to put down his thoughts on suicide note (& may be manipulate). Nobody knows what was going on her mind, she never got to write anything.
Only if he had conveyed his thoughts to wife before killing her ... ... ... Surprisingly, talking helps.

sometimes no communication between two adults is also good. Well, what the heck, I will throw my own example. My wife and my mom could not get along, I have gone thru h**l of a time. So I have set rules. Both should not talk to each other and should not talk abt each other. And I dont talk to each abt the other. Now at least I have some peace. Some people refuse to learn.
