Yesterday, the same issue came up with one of my colleagues, who is also an indian. Her boss told her that someone complained against her, that a bad odour was coming from her and also inquired if she used a deo and showered regularly, she also asked her if she laundered her clothes often and if there was a laundry room where she lived. This girl has just joined a month ago and is now very depressed and hates coming to work.

Where do you guys work? Which city, company etc? I work in a consulting firm and has worked with a few different clients in GTA so far. I was chatting with my office collegues - many are south asians - also about namo's post last week and none of us have come across these situations - atleast in GTA. With such a large immigrant population and that too with so many desi's around, these cases sounds kind of strange. Let all know, so we can all watch out...

Now, things have settle down. I told my wife to be cautious about odor and told her that if her boss complains about odor or any other national issue then just give her straight answer on her face..dont listen anymore. My wife was confident and I guess they are not bothering her as her senior collegue resign from her position so she is in senior position now. thanks all of you for your inputs and keep us going..

The company i work is in downtown toronto.. i too have told my friend not to worry and not to keep quiet if this issue is brought up with her again.
