Better ask this question to North East Indians (Nagaland, Miziram) who are clamouring for separation. Certainly it made them "less Indian" Same goes for East Timor.
Also this question should be asked to our Muslim Kashmiri brothers who are denying facilities of temporary shelter to Hindu pilgrims as they fear it would change "Demography" of the Valley.
Let us not be hypocrates. When in India a person changes religion from Hindu, he does because he has been radiclized and then following ideas of radicalized group, likely becomes less indian
Well said ..... so you think Hindusim is what is holding India together !!!! there are more christians in Kerala and Tamil nadu ... why they haven't asked for a separation .
As for Kashmir ..... if you dont understand the problem then you should not discuss it ......
A R Rehman was a hindu before he converted to Islam ... so is he a less Indian ..... for sure he did not convert for economic reason .... probably same for Bobby Jindal and Sunita Williams ..... it was their choice
The problems India is facing today is not because of radicalized converted groups ..... the challenges are different. In the 50-60 the same was said of groups not wanting to learn Hindi ..... they were called as traitors and radicals .... now after 40 years hindi is not the language used in south ... so has that made India weaker or stronger. Today a tamil speaking person is as much an Indian as a hindi speaking person. Inclusion is the key word and not exclusion.
Sepratist movements have been there in different regions of India .... religion might have been a factor but it is not the only issue. The feeling of alienation in some parts of India is their .....now it is an actual feeling or a percieved feeling, is something that can be debated. But the only way to tackle it is taking the problem head on and not take cover under religious differences.
As for Muslims in India .... how many Hindus protested when Kashmiri pandits were forced out of the valley !!!!!!
