I moved to Canada just 4 months before my three year period outside canada were to finish.
i first landed here after the 364 the day of my medical (i still remember the smile on the lady at the travel desk at dubai airport exclaiming oh boy your visa is going to expire in few hours. she even consulted her supervisor whether i should be allowed to board the flight)
i took the medical test after the 89 th day of acknowledgement letter.
i deliberately delayed all the processing.
those who all lived in middle east it is difficult to give up as they are all getting easy money or undeserved money.
though i don’t really 'enjoy' canada . this is new vista and new way of life for me.
Chandresh,
I trust you have managed to somehow overcome your problem faced by you with the CGA Association. There should be some loop hole in system.
Jatan,
Thank you for your feedback. I am sorry to hear about your experience with the doctors and the medical system in Canada. Here in Kuwait, for even a small problem, the doctors here are very liberal as far as blood tests and x-rays and ECGs etc. Even for a small matter they do all the possible blood tests and x-rays - all free. I am diabetic and go for monthly check-ups with the specialists and they give free medicine and insulin. Maximum waiting period to see a specialist is usually one week.
Skeptical,
Thanks for your feedback. Since you were in the Gulf you will know my situation better.
I would appreciate more views from the readers, specially the experience of those who have moved to Canada from the Gulf.
People from Gulf would find Canada tough on the same reasons as yours . Unless you are uniquely qualified (IT I guess) , Gulf is an easier place , both weather wise and work wise but lacks permanence .
For your kind of scenario , there may not be any ready jobs and you may need to make a re start , unless you start a business which has its own concerns. Whereas if you continue to stay in KWT , you get good comfortable life and for permanence's sake , you can apply again - as long as you have deep pockets most countries would welcome you.
