USA Credit History --Does it matter while applying for Mortgage

Hi,

While applying for mortage loan, does Canadian mortage companies consider your USA credit history ?

I know it can be big factor in getting a good loan rate.

Hi,

If you don't have Canadian credit history, they consider your US credit history.

So what are typical Mortgage rate for person haveing 4 years USA credit history with credit score above 750 ? (USA average is around 5.8%)

Using US credit history (@ 4years in US h1B with 750 credit score) I got mortgage at 5.2 % for condo @ 235,000 CAN$, have to pay 10% down payment.

I was under the impression that intrest rates in Canada are much higher then USA. That helps..

Credit History from USA comes from three companies ie Transunion,Experian and Equafax, Which one is recognised by Canadian Lenders ,I have mine for 850 plus ,would it be fine for rental or buying purposes.
