Black Friday the movie based on the Bombay Bomb Blast 1993 is neither a movie nor a documentary. But we need to appreciate the efforts of the maker to present a story in such detail. Similar Micheal Moore efforts are to be welcomed and I strongly feel that it is due to advent of NDTV 24 X 7 that these type of movies are made.

But a well made movie and an eye opener for all. The last comments during the meeting at Dubai on Thackeray and Advani are chilling!. This movie shows Dawood in a better light than what we perceive.

whatever it is...it is great! a topic that all should be aware of, better than another love triangle kinda flick. Movies are probably the best medium to get in touch to the masses and particularly the younger audience. It is based on facts, touches a delicate subject and educates us all. Excellent movie/documentary for anyone who has an interest in politics/terrorism/reality of todays world outside their comfort zone. etc

Finally saw this movie yesterday. Worth watching, just to see the painstaking effort put in collecting all the information about the blast, and recreating them on the screen - the planning, execution and the aftermath.

Director Anurag Kashyap has the taken the liberty of describing each and every phase into detail. The movie is long - 2.5 hours. But the outcome is pretty riveting.

The movie describes the planning that went into execution of 1993 Bombay blasts, and the police activity to arrest the convicts, following the blasts.

The acting is first-class, the editing is slick, music by Indian Ocean is pretty good too and is placed at appropriate places.

The movie kind of open your old wounds, and a sad realisation that the history repeated itself 16 years later.

Worth watching, if you do not mind sparing 2.5 hours to see a semi-documentary type of movie.
