1 crore is a big thing in India.yet a plot of land in chennai is in excess of 1 crore but medical care is cheap.
In a canada type hospital they charge only Rs 300 for consultation, 1100 for EEG etc..
India medical care is like Walmart of the west. Very affordable.
Thanks for your concern though. Based on this I would like many Indians to immigrate to Canada to get access to their free , efficient and plentyful health care.

If you want to do something for our country, just dont support corruption or be part of it
Please don't want to accept that Canada's health care is useless and won't agree until they admitted to the hospital. The doctor here is really really useless. Diagnosis take hell a lot of time and by that time, if patient is live, it is okay...otherwise?
Keep on dreaming 7wonders about the medical care of Canada !!!

I am a Gents and not a Ladies.
I think there should be a concept of premium services. People who are in high income tax bracket and pay more tax should be treated on a priority bases as they contributed more.
We desperately need a 2 tier system in Canada. However, a care must be taken by the Govt. not to go the American way in any case. An efficient Private healthcare alongwith the existing Govt. one (for the ones that can't afford) is the need of the hour.
I think the Conservatives are already on it, and the Province based transfer payments for Healthcare is the first step. I just afraid they won't screw the existing Healthcare to its deterioration level.
Sometimes I just wonder what stops them (Govt.) to implement a better system, whether be it Canada or India in general.
