any apartment/basement without lease agreement in Etobicoke South/Toronto ?

Hi,
I have got a couple of apartments near Islington/bloor but all of those have 1 yr lease. Are there any apartments without lease ? Those could be a bit far (15 mins by bus), though it will further increase my transit time to Markham, but I'm more concerned about the lease part.

It will be hard to find someone that will rent without a lease (at least for a minimum of 6 months or a year). It's a security for them having to sign the lease. However you may find someone willing to do what you are proposing.

6 months is fine with me, if you know any ?

Last resort would be to go for 1 yr lease only

Thanks a lot guys. I have got the desire apartment at the desired location. It's a bit expensive but very near to subway and without lease
