What a bad luck, or what should I blame myself!

I have got condominium, and was out for two month before finally move to new home, (In between my real estate lawyer try to contact condominium office for maintenance fee but)

After two month opening post box with a notice of Lien registration due to the fact that ex-owner doesn’t paid his due for the maintenance fee.

Is there anyway I can get rid of paying that lot of bucks for line registration?

Does is also going to effect my credit line?

Is it good option to hire a lawyer? Or just pay the all due and fine, and forget this due the fact that I still have to fight for job and etc…?

Friends appreciate your help! This is how my life starts as a new immigrant.
