I just made the best deal ever in my life !! - I brought home a beautiful Maltese puppy and am soooooooo excited. His name is Fluffy and he is a little shy right now but is opening up and presently is sleeping at my feet all snuggled up !
Isn't this whole process beautiful, we give our pets a little time, space and love and they give us their all. I had a Pom in India but unfortunately he died of old age.
I have been in Canada for 5 years, bought a condo a few months back but the feeling of owning a pet is incomparable. Myself and my wife have just got an unconditional best friend for the next 15 years !
I would like to hear from other pet owners/lovers on this forum.

Yes I agree with you absolutely! The feeling of owning a pet is something which a person who has never had one, cannot even begin to understand!
Me and my husband have always loved pets and now can see the same attachment in our daughter.....every soft toy she buys has to be a dog!
We left our own dog back home when we came here about one year back and are looking forward to having him here with us soon. We all miss him so much and feel that we have left a part of us behind.....

This is the thread i would luv to go thru(diff ppl posting their exp with their pets)I am a pet lover.And would luv to have a pet once i come to canada.But unfortunately i have been observing that many rental app or houses are NO PETS 
.My husband promised me to buy me a pet but if we dont get a proper house then????
Moreover what about the insurance for the pet? how expensive is it??Could some of the pet owners kindly guide me about having pets in canada.

Secondly what type of insurance are you referring to? if it is medical, you can go to petplan.ca
We dont have insurance on our dogs..perhaps we should..but we find the costs are not that high..and dont justify a monthly premium. We do spend a bit more every month for good quality dog food and treats and make sur ethey get plenty of exercise and fresh air.
