Hi All,

Some old members here know me personally / through this DB. I moved to Boston this year and took up some exciting projects.

One of them is to take up a challenge to run a marathon. Yes, 26+ miles!

I am running the 2006 Chicago marathon. I am running to raise funds for ASHA for Education. My goal is to raise $2,620 for ASHA's projects. i.e., $100 for every mile I run.

ASHA is a highest 4 star rated organization working on various educational projects in India. Please visit http://www.ashanet.org" rel="nofollow">LINK for more details.

I am looking for generous donors / sponsors for my run. Any small donation will make a difference.

Please visit my pledge site to make your donation online or message me if you rather send a check.

My pledge site...

TIA
Surya.

Thank you :-)

Dedicated volunteers of AID-MIT chapter and ASHA inspired me a lot. Projects they are working on are amazing.

Apart from their Education programs and development programs, recent victory of these groups and other chapters of these groups is the RTI (Right to Information) amendment withdrawl by the Indian govt. last week.

When I see success stories like this, I see a ray of hope that India can be corruption free and there will be accountability from all quarters.

I started from no running experience on May 1st of this year and now, moved up to 16 miles. Another 2 months to my big day. But I am sure support from all will keep me moving and finish the marathon successfully.

Finishing a Marathon will be an icing. But I really want to meet my fund-raising target. That will give me more satisfaction.
